Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Full-Time Clinic Float Nurse, providing vital staffing support across multiple specialty clinics in the Midwest region. This role offers the opportunity to work within Primary Care, Skin and Wound, Hematology/Oncology, Pulmonary, and Pulmonology clinics, ensuring seamless patient care during staff absences such as vacations, sick leave, or maternity leave. You will be trained to deliver consistent, high-quality care across these specialties, helping to reduce staff burnout and improve patient satisfaction. Patient Care Assessment: Conduct thorough physical assessments including vital signs and patient data collection. Administer medications, monitor side effects, and provide wound care with proper dressing management. Patient Education: Educate patients on diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care tailored to each specialty, including chronic disease management and oncology support. Documentation & EMR: Maintain accurate patient records using Athena and Cerner EMR systems, ensuring continuity and quality of care across clinics. Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and deliver effective patient care. Emergency Response & Protocols: Respond promptly to urgent situations and adapt to unique clinic workflows and protocols. Flexibility & Adaptation: Provide timely coverage across various clinics, adjusting quickly to different environments and specialty needs. Reducing Burnout & Increasing Retention: Support clinical teams by balancing workloads and maintaining high standards of patient care during peak periods. Education: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active nursing license. Experience: Minimum of 1 year nursing experience in outpatient, clinic, or hospital settings. Requirements: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency with Athena and Cerner EMR systems, knowledge of chronic disease management, and ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams. Preferred Qualifications: Previous float nurse experience and familiarity with specialty clinics such as Pulmonary, Oncology, or Wound Care.
