About the job Pharmacist We are seeking a dedicated Staff Pharmacist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in preparing and dispensing medications and pharmaceutical supplies for both Inpatient and Outpatient care, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and providing exceptional pharmaceutical services. Key Responsibilities: Prepare, compound, and dispense medications and pharmaceutical supplies accurately and efficiently. Review and verify prescriptions for accuracy, ensuring appropriate dosage and safety for patients. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide drug-related information and recommendations. Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies and procedures. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with pharmacy technicians to ensure the availability of essential medications. Provide patient counseling and education as required. Qualifications: Education & Certification: Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BS Pharmacy) required. Must be a Registered Pharmacist in the state of New York (NYS). Experience: Previous experience in a hospital pharmacy setting is preferred. Skills: Proficiency in computer systems is preferred.
