Job Description

Government Purchase Card Program Coordinator The primary purpose of this position is to perform developmental assignments which are designed to provide the incumbent, who is serving in a trainee capacity, in the application of common acquisition methods in support of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program and procurement business systems. Non competitive promotion to the next higher grade level is dependent upon satisfactory completion of the training requirements, demonstrated ability to perform the duties at the next higher grade level, fulfillment of all OPM legal and regulatory requirements for promotion, and recommendation for promotion by the supervisor. This position is open to all members of the Vermont National Guard who meet all the listed requirements of the position. National Guard membership is required. Minimum requirements include administrative or clerical experience, education, or training which demonstrates the candidate's ability to perform the duties of the position. Experience using computer and automation systems is also required. Specialized experience includes: GS-09: 24 months experience, education or training furnishing technical information, assistance, and advice concerning facilities, machinery, methods, materials, and standards for production. GS-11: 36 months experience with one year equivalent to the GS-09 level, experience, education or training program or managerial experience in a type of work or a combination of functions directly related to the business or industry position to be filled or in comparable work or functions. Other requirements include knowledge of Federal, DoD, and Army Contracting laws, principles, policies, and guidance as they relate to micro-purchases and the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Program to manage and administer the program, to resolve problems, and assist customers. Education requirements must be met by providing transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims. Foreign education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the qualification requirements if evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program.
