We are looking for the right person who can bridge the gap between our aging mechanical foundations and modern automation. Our next maintenance person will be a self-starter who can troubleshoot PLC's, install ac/dc drives and do light programming changes. This person will lead projects from conception to completion with little supervision. The Job requirements are mandatory. Please read carefully before applying. Position Title: Senior Maintenance- 2nd shift (3pm-11pm)Accountability: Manufacturing Engineering Manager Job Summary: Project Leader who thrives in an autonomous environment. As a Senior Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to identify operational inefficiencies and execute solutions independently. This role requires a high-level self-starter who can manage their own workflow and lead technical projects from inception to completion without needing constant supervision."Performs semi-routine and complex maintenance duties, which include troubleshooting of electrical ac/dc drives, electronics, hydraulic and mechanical equipment, making repairs and modifications, performing preventative maintenance. Duties, Requirements and Responsibilities: 1. Perform troubleshooting, programming, and monitoring of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). 2. Read and comprehend machine related drawings and technical information. 3. Trouble shoot and repair/rebuild as needed to assure production continuity for equipment such as twisters, towers, extruders and related equipment. 4. Maintain physical system of plant, such as Boiler, furnace, A/C, air compressor, etc. 5. Perform preventative maintenance duties such as greasing, component changes, etc. based upon Preventative Maintenance schedule. 6. Report for overtime or call-in assignments as required supporting production. 7. Provide recommendations for modifications to equipment or processes to Manufacturing Engineer. 8. Develop innovative parts or modifications for processes and equipment. 9. Modify and refurbish tooling. 10. Perform related duties and responsibilities as assigned. 11 Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists workers in solving work problems. 12. Keep maintenance and parts area clean. Job Skills: 1. Minimum 5 years of electrical and mechanical experience in manufacturing required.2. Must be able to operate a variety of industrial tools. 3. Must take applicable safety training such as Lock out /Tag out, confined space, etc. 4. Must be detailed oriented and mechanically inclined 5. Experience troubleshooting mechanical systems with electronic controls 7. Must be able to lift to 100 lb. and work in awkward and unpleasant positions.8. Must be able to use and manipulate computer applications such Word and Excel. 9. Must be able to install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment. (i.e. single and 3 phase) 10. Must be willing and able to work mandatory overtime assignments. 11. Must have outstanding attendance pattern. 12. Must be able to work independently. 13. Must be able to use Volt/Ohm meter, amp meter. 14 Must understand PLC ladder logic and read prints. Physical Demands: Frequent standing and walking throughout the shift, regularly lifting up to 100 lbs., frequent pulling, pushing, bending, and working above ground level. The ability to perform visual inspection is a necessity. Occasionally on call for Plant. Safety: Report all potential hazards and/or accidents immediately. Follow all company safety policies and procedures. Mandatory Job Requirements: Must have minimum 3 years of experience programing PLC's Must understand single and three phase electrical systems. Must understand AC/DC drive systems and motors. Must be able to read blue prints and electrical schematics Project Leadership: Seeking a proactive, self-starting Senior Maintenance Technician capable of spearheading complex repair projects and preventative maintenance programs with minimal oversight.
