Tree Maintenance Worker 1- Shade Tree

Description Morris County Department of Public Works, Shade Tree Division is currently accepting applications for Tree Maintenance Worker 1. Under direction of the Shade Tree Division in the Department of Public Works, performs semi-skilled and manual work to assist in pruning and or removing of various trees along Morris County right of ways and Morris County owned property. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Learns to climb trees using a ladder, climbing hooks and belts. Other manual or mechanical equipment used to aid in performing tree maintenance tasks. Must be able to work above the ground on heights up to 80 feet. Properly learns to utilize all tree related tools (saws/chippers) with proper safety standards taught and practiced for all work zones. Qualifications Preferred at least one year related tree experience . Applicants must possess a valid CDL B license. Successful candidate will also salt/plow county roads during the winter months in addition to regular tree work.
