Surgery - General Physician

Locums General Surgery - East Texas This facility is on the northeastern Texas/Louisiana border, near Tyler, TX and about an hour from Shreveport, Louisiana. Reason for Need: One of three of the client's surgeons is leaving. The Locum position is to fill that need. This is an ongoing need until a permanent provider is found. Will consider Locums to Perm. Setting: Inpatient Coverage: Call only (beeper) It is possible that two providers could be accepted to share this position. Please let me know your availability. Need: 10 days/month of Call; Other days in the month would be in the Diagnostic Clinic C overage needed Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for the months of April, May, June, and possibly July. Full-time 45 phone consults per week on average Hours for call: 7am - 7pm MA available as support staff (also 2 other surgeons on staff) Rounding is needed Age of patients: 1 yr - 100 yrs Trauma 3 Facility; major trauma cases or limited The client has reported that there are some scheduled days where the provider will be needed only 4 hours rather than 8 to connect with patients.
