Referral Coordinator The Referral Coordinator manages and facilitates patient referrals within a healthcare organization. You will process all referrals, allowing access to specialty care and services. The Referral Coordinator works with healthcare providers, patients, and external specialists to coordinate appointments, obtain necessary documentation, and track referral outcomes. Working onsite in a clinical environment and reporting to the Referral Supervisor. Location: CenterWell Senior Primary Care office located at 3265 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, 89121 As a Referral Coordinator you will perform tasks such as: Communicate with specialists and external offices to schedule appointments and communicate important information. Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations. Maintain accurate records of referrals in the electronic health record (EHR) system. Follow up with patients and providers regarding referral status and outcomes. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and regulations. Provide excellent customer service to patients and healthcare teams. Required Qualifications Experience in a healthcare setting in referral management or medical office administration. Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, and EHR systems. Handle confidential information following HIPAA guidelines. We consider this role patient facing and runs the Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected for this role, we will require you to screen for TB. Other Qualifications Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration Knowledge of ICD 10 and CPT coding Bilingual in English and Spanish Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Pay Range: $40,000 - $52,300 per year This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
