Key Responsibilities: Provide inpatient pediatric care across a 46-bed pediatric floor, managing an average census of 25-30 patients daily. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including pediatric intensivists in the PICU (24 beds) and CVICU (14 beds), pediatric emergency physicians in the 30-bed ED, and neonatologists covering a 72-bed Level IV NICU. Participate in varied shift schedules, including in-house coverage and after-hours calls from home, ensuring continuity of patient care. Maintain thorough documentation and case logs demonstrating current inpatient hospitalist experience, with at least 1 year of recent practice. Engage in academic activities if desired, with opportunities for teaching residents from the University of Nevada School of Medicine. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and best practices. Qualifications: Medical Degree (MD/DO) with current Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Pediatrics. Minimum of 1 year of recent inpatient hospitalist experience; candidates must be able to present case logs from the past 12 months during the interview. Demonstrated ability to manage a varied case load and work effectively within a team. Excellent communication skills and commitment to providing outstanding patient-centered care. Candidates must be available to reside within the immediate local area; relocation assistance may be provided.
