The Manager, Client Finance manages client financials including reporting, forecasting and monthly close for OMG's Strategic Business Units. The team is seeking an Manager, Client Finance to support OMG's Strategic Business Units (SBUs). The role will be client-facing working with both internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate would be proficient in Excel and data management, proactive, detail-oriented, deadline driven, have experience managing people as well as be able to work in a fast-paced environment. The role will report to the Director and SVP of Finance and collaborate with OMG's AOR Client Finance and FP&A teams. The role will also work closely with SBU account teams, as well as any OMC and independent client teams. Qualifications: • 5-7 years' experience in an operational finance environment (media/advertising/entertainment industry preferred) • Proficiency with Excel (must know pivot tables, formulas, vlookups, etc.) • Experience with Financial Reporting systems (i.e., TM1 Platform Analytics) • Bachelors (or Masters) Degree in Accounting or Finance Responsibilities: • Prepare month-end closing entries under tight deadlines along with updating internal budget changes • Manage detailed variance analysis of revenue and media spend on monthly and quarterly basis and work with Budget Management team and FP&A team to adjust projections • Developing and assisting with client fees including pricing and labor reconciliations • Assist with preparing and analyzing client profitability • Support development of pricing models and analyses for new and existing clients' remuneration terms • Establish processes to provide strategic insights to Account Leads and Senior Management to help drive business decisions • Responsible for ensuring TM1 is accurate with regards to Billings and Revenue data • Ensure Sarbanes Oxley compliance with revenue recognition and internal controls across the Budget Management group • Understand results and respond to questions from management on their respective regions • Develop and implement sound business management policies and practices within the Finance Group • Assist in preparation of annual Plan presentation materials • Monitor and train staff involved in the various billing processes to ensure compliance of contractual obligations in the delivery of client services • Provide ad hoc analysis and reports as needed • Integral part of client finance team, working closely with project management (PM) and budget management (BPM) teams as well as client team leads and external agency counterparts • Primary lead of time entry compliance; running weekly and ad hoc reports, following up with team members on incomplete/incorrectly coded timesheets • Management of agency time code updates and communications following contract renewals and new awards • Responsible for updating agency burn reporting templates and OMG revenue reporting for forecasting and month end accruals • Maintaining time keeping records for current and prior months of service across all responsible teams in accordance with strict contractual and audit requirements • Calculating agency labor and overhead fees using hourly reports and client pricing parameters • Facilitation of month-end billing support, coordinating with client finance and BPM teams • Provide up to date tracking of project status across planned, awarded, funded, and billed budgets, notifying leadership as identified thresholds are met or deviations from proposals realized • Coordination with automation and PM teams on dashboard updates and back-end data accuracy • Maintain a solid understanding of the client contracts, performing quality control audits of account to ensure contractual compliance and mitigate risk • Adherence to reporting deadlines for both client and finance calendar This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, other job-related qualifications/skills, and geographic location (to account for comparative cost of living). The Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Compensation Range $90,000-$110,000 USD This role is hybrid, requiring three (3) days per week in the office. The remaining two (2) days may be worked remotely. Specific in-office days will be discussed during the interview process, with flexibility to align with team needs. Please note that the number or required in-office days may be adjusted over time, potentially increasing the number of required in-office days based on business needs.
