IT Security Engineer

IT Security EngineerZetier seeks experienced IT Security Engineer to support, manage, and secure our rapidly expanding infrastructure. Candidates will demonstrate experience in maintaining, deploying, and troubleshooting segmented IT systems. Strong candidates will embody a focus on automating infrastructure and streamlining standards-compliant networks that accelerate complex hardware/software development efforts. Representative expectations for IT Security Engineer:Required : Practical experience (4+ years) with IT admin (e.g. Linux, Ubiquiti)Hands-on experience with networking (e.g. hubs/routers, firewalls)Proficiency in network security (e.g. iptables, OpenVPN, Wireguard)Familiarity with modern orchestration tools (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)Demonstrated capability to design and deploy scalable IT solutionsEffective communication with stakeholders and team membersActive U.S. security clearance Desired : Served as an ISSM or similar security management roleKnowledge of NIST, RMF, and other compliance frameworksExperience with storage solutions (e.g. SAN, NAS, cloud storage)Experience with configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible)Knowledge of IT monitoring and logging (e.g. Splunk, Nagios)Exposure to database administration (e.g. PostgreSQL, MSSQL)Familiarity with scripting for automation (e.g. Python, PowerShell)Certifications in relevant IT domains (e.g. CCNA, MCSE, AWS)Experience implementing non-trivial Zero Trust architecturesSuccessfully led IT projects and cross-functional teamsUnderstanding of ITIL or other IT service management methodologies Positions available in Arlington, VA and State College, PA.
