Job Description Job Title: AI Strategist (Business Analyst - Consultant) Client: State of South Carolina - SCDES Location: South Carolina (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite per week) Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension) Interview Process: 1 Round - Virtual/Online Submission Deadline: 02/19/2026 - 5:00 PM EST Max Bill Rate: $$55-$60/hour Work Authorization: Candidate must be a South Carolina resident (No relocation allowed) Position Overview The State of South Carolina is seeking an AI Strategist (Business Analyst - Consultant) to support enterprise-level Artificial Intelligence initiatives. This position reports directly to the Agency Head and works closely with the Chief Technology Officer (CTO). The AI Strategist will evaluate, recommend, and implement strategies that leverage a variety of AI technologies to improve operational efficiency, decision-making, and service delivery across the agency. Key Responsibilities • Develop and recommend strategies to leverage Artificial Intelligence technologies. • Collaborate with agency leadership and the CTO to implement AI initiatives. • Analyze business processes and identify opportunities for AI-driven improvements. • Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies for organizational use. • Support enterprise innovation and technology transformation initiatives. • Provide strategic guidance on AI adoption, governance, and implementation. • Coordinate with stakeholders to align AI solutions with business goals.
