Role description Job Title : Salesforce FSL Architect Job Location : Charlotte, NC The SFDC FSL Architect is responsible for designing governing and delivering scalable Field Service Lightning solutions on the Salesforce platform This role ensures that field service business requirements are translated into robust performant and future ready Salesforce architectures while adhering to best practices security standards and enterprise integration principles Key Responsibilities Solution Architecture Design Own end to end architecture for Salesforce Field Service Lightning implementations Design scalable and maintainable FSL solutions covering work orders service appointments scheduling dispatch and mobile workforce Define data models automation strategies and integration patterns aligned with enterprise architecture standards Create high level and detailed solution designs HLDs LLDs and architecture diagrams Field Service Lightning Expertise Design and configure FSL components including Work Orders Service Appointments Assets and Maintenance Plans Scheduling policies operating hours service territories and skills Dispatcher Console and Gantt optimization Mobile Workforce Salesforce Field Service Mobile App Optimize scheduling routing and capacity planning for large technician volumes Design offline first mobile solutions and sync strategies Technical Leadership Governance Provide architectural guidance to Salesforce Developers BAs and Admins Review and approve technical designs configurations and custom code Ensure adherence to Salesforce best practices performance and security standards Drive architectural governance reuse and standardization across programs Integration Data Management Design integrations with ERP inventory billing GIS IoT and legacy systems Define API strategies REST Platform Events Streaming APIs Middleware Oversee data migration data quality and master data alignment Ensure secure authentication authorization and data access controls Delivery Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Program Managers Product Owners and business stakeholders Support Agile delivery through sprint planning design reviews and release readiness Identify risks dependencies and architectural tradeoffs early Support UAT golive hypercare and postproduction optimization Required Skills Qualifications Salesforce FSL Skills Deep handson expertise in Salesforce Field Service Lightning Strong understanding of Salesforce core platform Service Cloud Flow Security Model Experience with FSL Managed Package Field Service Mobile App and Dispatcher Console Strong knowledge of Salesforce limits performance tuning and scalability Architecture Technical Skills Experience designing enterprisescale CRM and field service architectures Strong integration experience using APIs middleware and eventdriven patterns Knowledge of mobile architecture offline data handling and sync conflicts Ability to balance declarative vs programmatic solutions Apex LWC Delivery Methodologies Experience working in Agile SAFe hybrid delivery models Ability to translate business needs into technical architecture Strong documentation and communication skills Experience Education 8 - 14 years of overall IT experience 4-7 years of Salesforce experience with strong FSL focus Bachelors degree in Engineering IT or related field Salesforce certifications preferred Salesforce Field Service Lightning Accredited Professional Salesforce System Architect or Application Architect Service Cloud Consultant Nice to Have Experience with largescale technician workforces 1000 users Exposure to utilities telecom manufacturing or energy field service domains Experience with IoT driven service or predictive maintenance use cases Experience in global or multi-country Salesforce rollouts Key Competencies Strong architectural ownership and decision making Business out come driven mindset Excellent stakeholder communication Ability to mentor teams and influence design decisions
