Job Description The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide direct and indirect skilled nursing care to residents, demonstrating the knowledge and skills necessary to cater to the specific age-related needs of adult and geriatric patients. This role includes a commitment to maintaining collaborative relationships with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff while following defined policies and procedures under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. ResponsibilitiesCollect ongoing data relevant to residents' physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings to the RN and interdisciplinary team. Contribute to the creation of age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans reflecting nursing diagnoses and interventions. Recommend revisions to care plans based on resident outcomes and facilitate referrals as necessary. Engage with residents/families and the interdisciplinary team to ensure satisfaction and comprehensive care. Participate in the orientation and mentoring of new staff while continuously updating clinical knowledge and skills. Provide leadership in the professional practice setting under the direction of the RN, considering factors related to safety and cost in care delivery. Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent NY LPN Licensure BLS certification (AHA or RQI required) Minimum of 1 year of experience as an LPN, preferably in a long-term care facility Why ARMStaffing?
