Job Description

Join our dynamic team to make a significant impact on military defense and the safety of our soldiers. We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Inspector to support our critical mission at Fort Bliss, Texas. As part of Serco, a prime contractor for the US Army's Next Generation Command and Control (NGC2) contract, you will help integrate essential capabilities for Command Posts (CP) across a variety of operations. In this pivotal role, you will: Supervise and train junior quality specialists, collaborating closely with the Quality Manager. Conduct visual inspections of products to ensure they conform to established standards using various measuring instruments, including calipers and gauges. Prepare and maintain procedures in accordance with ISO standards for quality enhancement. Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections utilizing both automated and manual equipment. Inspect platforms and vehicles to confirm readiness for subsystem integration. Develop and maintain accurate records of inspection results, test data, and quality processes, reporting findings to management. Review inspection results for trend analysis and root cause identification, suggesting corrective actions when necessary. Collaborate with production staff and engineering teams to ensure smooth operations and traceability of components and finished goods. To excel in this position, you should possess: An active Secret security clearance. A Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in quality control inspection, or an Associate's degree with 2 years of equivalent work experience. Ability to read engineering drawings and interconnection diagrams. Comfort with standing or walking for long periods. Proficiency in using measuring devices like gauges, meters, and calipers. Strong problem-solving capabilities and effective communication skills. The ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Additional desired qualifications include: Knowledge of an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Physical ability to lift heavy objects. Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or process improvement concepts.
