Oncology Product Sales Consultant - Solid Tumor Focus PURPOSE The Oncology Product Sales Consultant plays a pivotal role in driving demand and providing education for Bayer's oncology offerings, such as targeted therapies for NSCLC, VITRAKVI, and NUBEQA. You will engage with healthcare professionals across community clinics, treatment centers, and hospitals. As part of the Area Customer Engagement Squad, you will collaborate to commercialize key products and support customer needs. This position requires extensive travel (up to 90%) and requires residence in the assigned territory, ideally near Portland, ME. KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Deep Clinical Knowledge and Education: Cultivate comprehensive knowledge of various disease states, tumor types, and therapeutic options to effectively educate healthcare professionals on the benefits of our products. Effective Communication: Emphasize the clinical advantages of biomarker-driven treatment options and companion diagnostics to promote the use of precision oncology solutions. Building Relationships: Establish strong, trust-based connections with key clients and providers, ensuring their needs are met. Customer-Centric Approach: Understand your customers' objectives and tailor your strategies to align with their unique priorities. Navigating the Healthcare Environment: Utilize industry groups and third-party organizations to positively influence territory goals. Data-Driven Strategy: Analyze sales and market data to identify trends and develop actionable plans that drive results. Results-Oriented Execution: Maintain a focus on outcomes to consistently achieve your sales targets. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with diverse teams to co-create innovative solutions that meet customer needs. Embracing Technology: Leverage emerging technologies to enhance performance and continuously improve your skills. WHO YOU ARE Bayer is looking for candidates who have: REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS BA/BS degree; Proven sales skills with the ability to persuade effectively; A demonstrated track record of sales success; Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities; Solid negotiation and analytical skills; Self-motivated and passionate about the field; Valid driver's license with a clean record; Willingness to travel, including occasional overnight trips; Must meet credentialing requirements for employment; Experience launching new products; Compliance with customer credentialing and safety standards; Understanding of PHARMA compliance guidelines; Authenticity in the workplace. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Degree in biological sciences or related field; At least 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical sales or relevant clinical/marketing experience; Experience in academic or large oncology accounts; Specialty sales experience within competitive environments; Strong clinical understanding of various tumor types; Experience in both pediatric and adult oncology settings; Background in Oncology or Precision Medicine; Familiarity with companion diagnostics; Experience with diagnostics or genomic testing; Understanding of buy-and-bill and oral oncology landscapes. Employees can expect a salary range between $146,426.00 and $219,638.00, along with potential bonuses and benefits including healthcare, vision, dental, retirement plans, PTO, and sick leave.
