We value integrity, innovation, and practical problem-solving-and we're building a team that wants to make a measurable impact.Job SummaryGreen Zone Recycling is seeking a Route Coordinator Manager to lead daily route planning and dispatch operations while driving strategic improvements in fleet utilization, service quality, and cost control. This role monitors route execution, analyzes performance data, and partners with drivers and cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues and continuously improve operations. You will also help maintain compliance and safety standards, manage vendor and partner relationships, and support key reporting and process improvements. In addition, this position provides high-level administrative support to the COO, including calendar and meeting coordination, documentation, communications, and special project tracking.Responsibilities Plan, coordinate, and optimize daily transportation routes to improve efficiency, service levels, and sustainability outcomes.Build and maintain driver schedules; coordinate coverage, time-off, and route adjustments.Monitor fleet performance and route execution; troubleshoot day-of operational issues and implement corrective actions.Serve as the primary point of contact for drivers regarding dispatch updates, route changes, and operational needs.Analyze route and operational data to identify trends, propose improvements, and support continuous improvement initiatives.Maintain accurate records (routes, mileage, service notes, incidents) and prepare routine performance reports.Partner with cross-functional teams to align routing, customer needs, and operational capacity.Strategic Planning: Develop and implement innovative strategies to maximize fleet utilization, reduce operational costs, and improve service quality; provide data-driven recommendations for long-term fleet performance enhancement.Compliance & Safety: Maintain strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory requirements across all vehicles; promote a safety-first culture among drivers and staff.Vendor & Partner Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with dealerships, repair vendors, insurance providers, and other partners; lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and identify cost-saving opportunities.Data & Analytics: Leverage data to monitor fleet performance metrics, identify trends, and make strategic decisions that improve efficiency, safety, and cost control.Administrative Support to the COO: Maintain organized electronic files and documentation; assist with compiling KPIs, dashboards, and periodic updates for leadership review.Administrative Support to the COO: Coordinate travel arrangements and expense documentation when required.Administrative Support to the COO: Support special projects by coordinating stakeholders, tracking milestones, and ensuring deadlines are met. Qualifications Experience coordinating routes, dispatch, logistics, transportation operations, or a related operations role.Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to stay calm and decisive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable communicating with drivers, operations staff, and leadership.Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.Analytical mindset-able to interpret route/performance data and recommend improvements.Proficiency with common office tools (email, spreadsheets, documents) and willingness to learn routing/fleet systems.Professional discretion when supporting the COO and handling sensitive information.Passion for sustainability and continuous improvement.
