Job Description Steel Estimator Opportunity We are excited to announce an opening for a Steel Estimator at a reputable construction company specializing in miscellaneous and structural steel installations for the commercial construction industry. Due to our client's continual growth, they are eager to find a qualified candidate experienced in turnkey projects involving miscellaneous steel. Qualifications for Steel Estimator: Minimum of 5 years of experience with miscellaneous steel. Project experience with budgets ranging from $15k to $500k+. Familiarity with current AISC structural codes and standards. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and construction documents. Strong ability to calculate costs and prepare comprehensive estimates. Outstanding organizational and communication skills. Responsibilities for Steel Estimator: Prepare and review estimates for accuracy and thoroughness. Coordinate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Develop and maintain productive relationships with clients. Manage and track project budgets and schedules. Monitor project scope changes attentively. Ensure all materials, labor, and equipment costs are accurately factored into estimates. Conduct accurate material takeoffs. Assist in crafting and implementing cost-effective strategies. Steel Estimator Job Functions: Interpret and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Forge and nurture relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Identify and address discrepancies between estimates and actual costs. Regularly monitor project progress and recommend adjustments to meet timelines and budgets. Generate detailed estimates, bids, and proposals for various projects. Analyze costs for materials, labor, and equipment to ensure accuracy and completeness. Compensation & Benefits for Steel Estimator: Base salary ranges from $90,000 - $110,000+. Comprehensive company benefits included.
