Extrusion Operator - 2nd Shift

Peoplelink Staffing Solutions in partnership with a Leading Closed-Cell Cross-Linked Polyethylene Foam & Closed-Cell Elastomeric Foam Supplier is seeking highly motivated and experienced Extrusion Operators for their 2nd shift team. Extrusion Operator Overview: Extrusion Operators are responsible for operating and maintaining the extrusion process, which involves mixing, heating, and shaping the foam. Operators must ensure that the extrusion process is operating efficiently, safely, and according to established protocols. This role requires knowledge of general extrusion process, materials, and safety standards, as well as strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills. Pay: $22.85/hr Hours: 2pm - 10:30pm Extrusion Operator Job Summary: Set oven temperatures, choose the right die, and keep materials flowing smoothly, following procedures and schedules. Regularly monitor and adjust oven settings to ensure optimal conditions for each extrusion job. Enter all production information into the computer system as necessary. Oversee the testing of treatment, gauge, and width specifications. Provide samples to the QA Lab for testing. Check blenders at shift and order changes Keep a watchful eye on the heating and shaping process, maintaining consistent and efficient production. Inspect extruded products with a keen eye for perfection, reporting any deviations to the Lead Operator. Assist with routine maintenance like cleaning and lubricating the oven to keep it running smoothly. Help maintain a tidy and organized work area for safety and efficiency. Be the first to spot any issues with the oven or process, like equipment malfunctions or material inconsistencies, and promptly inform the Lead Operator or maintenance. Follow all safety rules, wear the appropriate PPE, and actively participate in safety training. Maintain accurate records of oven settings, material usage, and product output, documenting any issues or deviations from standard procedures. Work closely with team members, maintenance personnel, and Lead Operators to ensure seamless and efficient production. Extrusion Operator Qualifications: Previous Extrusion Operator Experience Ability to lift to 30 lbs. on a regular basis. Must stay on feet for most of the shift. Ability to wear a respirator for the duration of your shift.????? Attendance during scheduled work hours is crucial for success in this position! Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent Experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably machine operation. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. A willingness to undergo on-the-job training and learn new skills as needed. Teamwork oriented. High attention to detail and accuracy. Good verbal and written communication skills. Flexibility and ability to respond to new assignments. Logical problem-solving.
