Lead MLOps Engineer

The Lockheed Martin Artificial Intelligence Center (LAIC) is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Lead MLOps Engineer to enhance our Applied AI team and radar track processing product portfolio. What You'll Do: Lead the monitoring and maintenance of existing AI capabilities while developing new ones for improved ML monitoring and continuous update processes. Analyze customer data and assess machine learning model performance to identify areas needing enhancement. Develop and update machine learning models to cater to changing operational needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to rapidly iterate and evolve innovative solutions. Ensure ongoing maintenance for deployed products using machine learning operations methodologies. Who You Are: A highly motivated individual with substantial experience in radar systems engineering, signal processing, DevSecOps, software development, data science, and machine learning. Excellent self-motivated work ethic coupled with strong time management and interpersonal skills. A team player adept at collaborating with various teams effectively. Proficient in machine learning operations paradigms, with experience in the ongoing maintenance of deployed products. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and be a US Citizen due to the nature of the work. Willingness to work on-site at LM Moorestown full-time or part-time, including occasional off-hours as required. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Experience in training and analysis within modern MLOps pipelines, including steps like labeling, local/global explainability, model deployment, and performance monitoring. Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Docker, Git (GitLab, GitHub), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD). Proficient in Python and libraries like NumPy, SciPy, and Pandas. Capability to secure a Secret government security clearance. Desired Qualifications: Master's Degree in a relevant discipline. Experience in leading long-term projects related to software and machine learning. Knowledge of database systems (SQL, MongoDB, etc.). Experience with open-source machine learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, Keras, etc.). Knowledge of compiled languages like Rust and C++. Experience in coordinating long-term program execution across organizations, as well as significant integration and testing activities. This role requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Location: On-site work required at LM Moorestown.
