Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Physical Therapist Discipline: Therapy Start Date: 06/08/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 40 hours per week Shift: 8 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Physical Therapist  Role Summary Physical Therapists deliver high‑quality, evidence‑based care to individuals experiencing impairments, functional limitations, disabilities, or changes in physical function due to injury, illness, or other conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, collaborative teamwork, and a commitment to optimizing patient outcomes. Minimum Qualifications Education Entry‑level degree in Physical Therapy. Licensure & Certifications Active Physical Therapist license in the State of Maine. Valid driver’s license and access to an insured vehicle per agency policy. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers. Experience At least 1 year of full‑time experience in a supervised clinical setting. Skills & Attributes Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to build authentic, positive patient relationships. Flexibility, creativity, and a sense of humor. Excellent written communication and documentation skills. Sound ethical reasoning and professional judgment. Key Responsibilities Patient Evaluation & Care Planning Manage all aspects of patient care, including examination, evaluation, diagnosis, intervention planning, and outcome assessment. Review and determine appropriateness of referrals for physical therapy services. Select and administer appropriate examination tools (e.g., ROM, MMT, functional mobility assessments, interviews, observations). Analyze evaluation data to form clinical judgments. Refer patients to other healthcare providers when needs fall outside PT scope. Establish PT diagnoses, prognoses, and individualized plans of care with measurable short‑ and long‑term goals.
