Embedded S/W Engineer

Overview Client is seeking a senior-level real-time Embedded Software Engineer to develop and integrate C/C software for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) real-time embedded systems. This is a hands-on, lab-based role supporting hardware/software integration and testing in Grand Prairie, TX (Dallas area). Active Secret clearance is required. Core Responsibilities Develop, test, and integrate real-time embedded software using C and C (C 11 or newer) Support HWIL setup, integration, and troubleshooting in a lab environment Integrate hardware and software components and resolve interface/system issues Participate across the software lifecycle, including requirements, implementation, and testing Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software, hardware, systems, test) Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies Active SECRET security clearance 8 years of real-time embedded software engineering experience Hands-on Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL/HIL) experience with real-time embedded systems using both hardware and software Strong proficiency in C and C (C 11 or newer) Proficiency with Linux systems and real-time operating environments (RTOS/real-time) Experience integrating hardware and software (HW/SW integration) Comfortable working with cross-functional engineering teams BS in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field Ability to work onsite in Grand Prairie, TX and support lab integration activities Preferred (Nice-to-Have) Skills or Experience MS (or higher) in a related engineering field Ada experience Git/GitLab, JIRA Agile/Scrum experience Closed-loop system integration experience Automated testing frameworks and unit testing Low-level software development and/or device driver experience Full SDLC experience Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
