Specialist - HBITS-04-03388 Albany , New York , United States Contract Apply with Linkedin Apply with Indeed Apply Specialist - Job ID #HBITS-04-033 Albany, NY, United States/ 2 Year Contract APPLICATION CLOSING DATE: 03-31-2016 SPECIALIST APPLY ONLINE FOR IMMEIDATE CONSIDERATION - -Experience in the usage and support of a collection of development platforms, technical architectures, or business applications and products that run on those platforms, beyond that of a Programmer -The Authorized User may seek Specialists in the following areas (list is not exhaustive): u2022 Backup and Recovery u2022 Security 7 years Candidate is able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field Responsibilities: Daily Tasks will include but not limited to the following: This position is responsible for supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of an OBIEE 11G structure and websites to support Health Cluster reporting and interagency information structures. Specifically, this positon will include but will not be limited to: u2022 Provide technical support to BI OBIEE application delivery teams, participate and support development, test, QA activities and provide OBIEE 11G technical problem analysis and solution development. u2022 Provide technical support for OBIEE 11G environment including production control activities, point release upgrades, and/or application software maintenance. u2022 Perform development activities for websites using HTML, HTML5, CSS and Javascript. u2022 Perform development activities using Responsive Web Design using open source frameworks. u2022 Provide transfer of knowledge and technical training to State IT staff in support and development of OBIEE 11G. u2022 Work closely with engineers to design, implement, and delegate components; provide accurate work estimates for proposed projects; and actively participate in resolving key issues that impact the performance of the product. u2022 Contribute ideas to improve product functionality, maintainability and/or performance. u2022 Participate in design and development tasks for solutions u2022 Assist with building test cases to accurately test all aspects of the product. Work with the testing team to ensure test plans are executed and behave as expected. u2022 Assist development team with QA/QC activities. u2022 Work with teams of application programmers, DBAs, and system architects to create solutions to meet business goals. u2022 Develop and participate in the adherence of standards, processes, and procedures. u2022 Assist with optimization and tuning activities as necessary. u2022 Plan, coordinate OBIEE software installations and upgrades. u2022 Provides hands-on training and mentoring for other staff. Required Skills: + 7 years Demonstrated experience supporting development efforts in OBIEE 11G application including migrations of web catalog, repository development and BI Publisher objects. + 7 years Experience in installing Weblogic Server in Linux environment and configuring user authentication using SAML. + 7 years Demonstrated Experience in developing public facing websites using HTML, HTML5, CSS and Javascript. + 7 years Experience in Responsive Web Design using open source frameworks. + 7 years Experience in maintaining, reviewing, and analyzing data files using SQL, Log File analysis, tables and reports for inconsistencies, trouble shoots data quality, performance, and integrity issues, and develops cleanup strategy when needed. + 2 years Experience with security setup and configuration including Weblogic roles/groups. + 2 years Experience with Oracle Discoverer, Portal and PLSQL Programming.
