Job Summary:The Warehouse Associate will work in our Dallas, TX facility and will be responsible for all tasks related to the warehouse, inventory, yard, and office. He/she will have a hands-on role in the warehouse, & inventory as well as interact with our field employees and our customers. This position will be based at our warehouse in Dallas, TX and is for someone with 1-3 years of experience working in a warehouse.Load and unload materials and supplies from trucksAssist in staging materials (kitting) for projects as requestedPerform equipment maintenance checksAbility to operate a forkliftAssists in maintaining vehicle maintenance recordsManages and executes ongoing cost saving and efficiency initiativesManages effective utilization of equipment and vehicle assetsKeeps management apprised of any delays, discrepancies, unsafe working conditions, vehicle or stockroom irregularities or maintenance issuesMaintains a clean, organized and safe stockroom and yardExecutes various warehouse transactions electronicallyTracks and cycle counts to ensure that stock levels are accurateAssists in the deliveries or pick-ups to/from job sites and customer locationsResponsible for all shipping and receiving functionsMonitor and confirm accuracy of all material and stock for easy retrieval and verificationFollows established policies and procedures to ensure quality and cost controlAbility to transport vehicles needing work to and from maintenance sites.Assist with general office / grounds maintenance when needed - ie: schedules sanding, salting, assist in plowing.Other duties as required.3+ years experience in performing material handling activities within a warehouse desired. Telecommunications experience desired but not requiredAbility to operate a forkliftDependable, self-starter with an excellent work ethic; team-player and willing to help wherever needed; punctual and have a good attendance recordExcellent people person/communicator who has the ability to interact with customers, vendors and in-house personnelAbility to utilize a computer, specifically MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet requiredRegulars hours are Monday - Friday from 7:00a - 5:00p with the potential for additional OT.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONSRepeated and frequent ability to lift, from floor to above head 50 lbs Ability to sit, stand, climb, kneel, bend, lift, crawl, squat, reach and utilize both hands and feetRequires the ability to sit for extended periods, stand, bend, walk, communicate via telephone, computer and/or face-to-face contact, vision to monitor, and use basic office equipment such as a personal computer, copier and fax machines regularly during the course of work. Will be required to operate a vehicle for the Company business.
