Position Function:Responsible for supporting the origination efforts and performing designated processing functions for their respective HLC.Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner that is expressly aligned with the Companyu0026#39;s Core Values of approaching all actions with a u0026ldquo;Voyaging Spiritu0026rdquo; and being u0026ldquo;Positively Ohanau0026rdquo;. Exhibits core competencies that result in consistent delivery of positive Customer Interactions, Empowerment and Ownership and demonstrates key professional and performance skills such as Active Listening, effective Oral and Written Communication, Action and Solution Oriented and Thoroughness.Primary Accountabilities:Inputs applications into the Loan Origination system, pulls credit reports, runs AUS, orders appraisals, opens escrows, and requests disclosures within 24 hrs. Completes submission checklists, reviews loan files for completeness and compliance with regulatory, investor, and HLD requirements. Follows up with HomeLoan Consultant on exceptions and for application deposits once signed disclosures acceptance received.Runs Fraud gaurd and reviews other approved or exclusionary lists to ensure all parties associated with the loan are eligibleReviews new application packages and applicable forms for completeness and accuracyPrepares a washlist of missing items, disclosures or steps and sends the washlist to the originatorFollows up and collects missing information and documents to complete the credit package for loan processingSends out a Notice of Incomplete Application if the application cannot be submitted to Underwriting for a credit decision within the required timeframeReviews the originatoru0026rsquo;s prequalification or automated underwriting file of the applicants to ensure income, assets, debt, and credit history is within selected loan program guidelines Orders flood certificates, tax transcripts, appraisals, credit report supplements, trust reviews, title insurance policies, conveyances, and other applicable documents from vendorsReruns automated underwriting findings based on Processoru0026rsquo;s review of file and any new information submitted by the originator or borrowerWorks with the originator to restructure or edit the loan before submission to UnderwritingCompletes all other tasks on the Processoru0026rsquo;s checklistAssists in the gathering of standard loan documentation, tracking of any outstanding loan conditions, and meeting all loan deadlines.Maintains client database that includes, but is not limited to: clientsu0026rsquo; names, addresses, contact info, pertinent dates (i.e., birthdays, anniversaries), future needs based on buying cycles, lower rates, etc. Assists in client relationship management by maintaining a follow-up tickler system and mailing marketing materials.Minimum Qualifications:Education:Sales Assistant IHigh School diploma or GED required.Sales Assistant IIHigh School diploma or GED required.Experience:Sales Assistant I2+ years of experience in processing/automated underwriting saleable 1-4 family residential conforming and jumbo loans or experience in a field directly related to residential mortgage lending. (A bacheloru0026rsquo;s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience or possession of valid and continuing MLO license will be considered meeting the minimum qualifications for experience.)Sales Assistant II3+ years of experience in processing/automated underwriting saleable 1-4 family residential conforming and jumbo loans or experience in a field directly related to residential mortgage lending.(A bacheloru0026rsquo;s degree can substitute for 2 years of work experience or possession of valid and continuing MLO license will be considered meeting the minimum qualifications for experience.)Licenses and CertificationsRegistration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System & Registry (NMLS) is required prior to performing any duties of a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time.
