Description: You will be the Infrared Camera Systems Engineer for our innovative engineering team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge IR sensor technologies, shaping the future of our products and supporting existing ones. What You Will Be Doing As the Infrared Camera Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for leading technical teams in the development of IR sensors and executing support for existing products. Your responsibilities will include: u2022 Developing skills in EO/IR analysis and modeling to support system concept development and design verification u2022 Acting as a project engineer or technical lead, assisting senior engineers in planning, monitoring program tasks, and tracking schedules and budgets u2022 Interfacing with customers, engineers, and technicians to drive program performance u2022 Performing system debugging, troubleshooting, and providing technical direction and support to production operations Why Join Us We're looking for a collaborative and driven individual to join our team. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree from an accredited college in an engineering, mathematics, or science field u2022 Engineering or Physics background u2022 Excellent presentation and written communications skills u2022 Ability to lead technical teams to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. u2022 Basic understanding of infrared sensor systems and supporting, mechanical, and optical systems. u2022 Experience troubleshooting and performing failure analysis of sophisticated hardware. u2022 Ability to obtain a secret security clearance, must be a US Citizen. Desired Skills: u2022 Masteru2019s degree from an accredited college in related discipline u2022 Strong customer coordination experience u2022 Experience with IR camera systems u2022 Understanding of FPA manufacturing technologies u2022 Closed cycle cryogenic systems. u2022 Vacuum packaging u2022 MATLAB programming expertise u2022 Transition of high technology product from Development to Production u2022 Radiometric testing and analysis of IR systems or sensors u2022 Familiar with high vacuum and ESD handling requirements u2022 background or familiarity with electronics and equipment related to infrared video collection, analysis, and test u2022 Understanding of reliability engineering and 6 sigma principles. Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $76,500 - $134,895. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidateu2019s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible. Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $88,000 - $152,490.
