Thestudy of human anatomy is essential in medical education for varioushealthcare professions. UW-Madison and partner institutions withinWisconsin, including numerous UW schools and hospitals, depend on thesedonors for advanced anatomy education and continued training for healthprofessionals. The part-time lab technician position will support theLead Mortician and additional Program staff in maintaining the safety,cleanliness, and functionality of the lab environment. The primary focuswill be on maintenance-related tasks, including sanitizing donor storageareas, assisting with safe transfer of donors, and supportinglab-related maintenance. This position offers a uniquely meaningful andrespectful working environment, where every task supports education,research, and the honoring of those who have made the ultimate gift toadvancing patient care and medicine. To adequately support the donors,position requires strong attention to detail, respect, and the abilityto follow strict safety, ethical, and confidentiality standards. This isa temporary employment opportunity working approximately 50% FTE.Position includes some heavy lifting, with various lifting/loadingequipment assistance available as needed Successful candidates willaddress the following Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities in their coverletter.
