Assisting in the evaluation, data gathering, and providing solutions to problems associated with customer Data Center sites, including national and international systems; this includes all associated edge site equipment and cabled infrastructuresActing as part of a team conducting site surveys and supporting the development of installation packages as needed in support of DoD Data Center Consolidation effortsProviding support as required to install, activate, and/or transition networking equipment such as network switches, routers, and encryption devicesAssisting engineering staff members in design, fabrication, integration and testing of electronic circuits, cables, and mounting equipment in support of field upgrades and installationsPerforming on-site installation, troubleshooting, and testing of company products and equipmentProviding technical support to customers and deployed teams on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipmentDeveloping SOVT test procedures, test plans, test reports, and procedures to maintain lab facilities and calibrate test equipment as needed; may support engineering tests and detailed experimental testingConducting site surveys and supporting the development of installation packages as needed in support of JWICS upgrade effortsInstalling, programing, and troubleshooting Type 1 Bulk encryptors such as KG-175Gs, Deltas and Alphas, Raytheon KG-345/350s#LI-JC1Minimum of 4 years experience conducting onsite installations at DOD facilitiesExperience with Copper and Fiber Optic building installation and manufacturing patch cordsBasic understanding and hands on experience with mechanical, chemical and fusion splicing fiber optic cableExperience in being part of a communication cable infrastructure integration teamIntegration of Local Area Network and Wide Area Network communication equipment such as routers, switches, servers and intrusion detection equipmentHave a valid passport and willing to do short duration travel for up to 50-75% of the entire year (nonconsecutive)Entry level knowledge of copper and fiber optic cabling to include installation, termination, and maintenance of RG-59, Single-Mode Fiber (SMF), Multi-Mode Fiber (MMF) and Shield Twisted Pair (STP)Working knowledge of Cisco IOS and affiliated hardwareBISCI Technician certificationPrior military experienceSRC IS A CONTRACTOR FOR THE U.S. GOVERNMENT, THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE U.S. CITIZENSHIP AS WELL AS, A U.S. GOVERNMENT SECURITY CLEARANCE AT THE SECRET LEVELShort duration travel required for up to 50-75% of the 50-75% of the entire year (nonconsecutive)Scientific Research Corporation is an advanced information technology and engineering company that provides innovative products and services to government and private industry, as well as independent institutions.
