Donation Attendant - Torrance

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES: + Maintain and clean up the area in and around the Donation trailer/pod at the beginning and end of each shift + Appear neatly and cleanly dressed in suitable clothing as per The Salvation Army dress code policy + Courteously assist the donor in the receipt of donated items from the donor and provide receipt + Maintain all reports and paperwork as instructed by Supervisor + Separate and sort all donated material into the proper containers, and properly stack material as instructed by the Supervisor + Assist TSA PA/Drivers with loading donations on to trucks as necessary + Inform the supervisor of needed items prior to running out (i.e.: brooms, receipts, totes, carts, etc.) + Must secure and lock Donation trailer/pod at the end of each shift + Must be have flexible availability for scheduling purposes + Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned QUALIFICATIONS: + High School graduate or equivalent + Ability to communicate effectively with fellow employees and donors + Ability to read and write and to understand and follow both written and verbal instructions PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: + Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis. + Ability to grasp, push, pull objects up to 75lbs. with or without assistance + Ability to perform various repetitive motion tasks Qualifications Education Required + High School or Equivalent or better Experience Required + Please explain any gaps in employment + 1 year: Please list relevant experience Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
