Senior Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Terrell, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing key accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and preparing accurate financial reports. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain and update the general ledger to ensure accurate and timely financial data. u2022 Reconcile bank statements with company financial records to identify and resolve discrepancies. u2022 Prepare comprehensive financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports. u2022 Record financial transactions by preparing and posting journal entries. u2022 Manage the preparation and filing of sales tax returns for multiple states. u2022 Support external audits by providing necessary documentation and addressing inquiries. u2022 Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. u2022 Reconcile intercompany accounts and transactions across multiple business locations. u2022 Assist in setting up and managing financial accounts, including client and employee accounts, as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Accounting is required. u2022 Minimum of 3 years of full cycle accounting. u2022 Public accounting experience is highly preferred. u2022 Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). u2022 Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. u2022 Effective communication and teamwork capabilities.
