Discover all the possibilities of a career at Northside today.The Code Abstractor is responsible for coding professional services, surgical procedures and specialty testing for a wide range of specialties accurately and consistently utilizing CPT -4 and ICD-10-CM Guidelines. In addition to providing professional services consistent with current coding and diagnosis guidelines and applicable payer requirements in a timely manner, the Code Abstractor will also provide coding support and education to providers and staff. REQUIREDHigh school diploma or equivalent.Three (3) years of experience in ICD-10 CM, CPT-4 coding.Certified Profession Coder by the American Academy of Professional Coders or Certified Coding Specialist by the AHIMA.PREFERREDPassing score in Microsoft Suite Assessment (MS Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point).
