The CTO Financial and Lean Portfolio Management team is looking for a highly skilled Senior Portfolio Analyst, specializing in financial analysis and portfolio management. This role helps align strategy and execution by applying Lean and systems thinking approaches to strategy and investment funding, Agile portfolio operations, and governance. Supports the prioritization of work and financial accountability for the products and solutions in a portfolio. Coordinate, sustain, and improve value streams. Plan and monitor IT budgets to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives/objectives. Forecast future budget needs, measure portfolio performance, and coordinate required compliance activities. Responsibilities: u2022 Work with the Director of CTO LPM and VP of CTO RE to deliver an effective LPM function for CTO Reliability Engineering. u2022 Provide support to prepare for portfolio health reviews, scorecards, MOR meetings. u2022 Oversee vendor management activities, including contract administration, preparation of Work Orders, MBM coordination, and invoice approvals. u2022 Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices u2022 Assists with coordinating a continuous approach to ensure compliance with audit and regulatory requirements and non-discretionary initiatives. u2022 Assists with Rally support and data management. Financial Accountabilities u2022Assist with Financial Operations includes assisting with department financials, including outlook locks, op planning, monthly reserving, capitalization, financial reporting supporting the CTO and business as needed, and various related items e.g. expense approver. Workforce Accountabilities u2022 Help create and manage a workforce strategy that balances employee and vendor ratios, considering onshore/offshore locations and HIG offices for optimal results. u2022 Provides support for data capture, metrics, measurement, ratios, projections around work force. u2022 Understanding current and target team compositions, and path forward via hiring and other levers. u2022 Coordination of required or needed training, continuous learning activities. u2022 Contribute towards the identification and definition of development value streams across the portfolio and alignment to CTO areas technology roadmap. u2022 Assist with establishing and maintaining an overall CTO portfolio view. This role will have a Hybrid work schedule, with the expectation of working in an office (Hartford, CT or Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Qualifications: u2022 Strong financial acumen and knowledge of IT financial management practices. u2022 Established understanding of Agile and Scaled Agile. u2022 3 years of portfolio management experience or equivalent experience (Scrum Master, RTE, Agile Coach, etc.) u2022 2+ experience with Agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, etc. SAFe LPM certification a plus u2022 3 years of related industry experience preferred. u2022 Strong knowledge of software development processes and procedures to understand team needs includes fundamentals of iterative and incremental development. u2022 Effective Communication Skills: Written, Verbal, Presentation. u2022 Strong influencing skills and ability to build partnerships at various levels of the organization. u2022 Proven ability to build commitment and empower others, communicate with clarity, courage, and timeliness. Candidate must be authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. The company will not support the STEM OPT I-983 Training Plan endorsement for this position. Compensation The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartfordu2019s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition.
