Windows/Azure Systems Architect

Description We are looking for an experienced Windows/Azure Systems Architect to join our team in the Naples, FL area for on-site architectural and team lead expertise in advancing our client's infrastructure and integration initiatives. This Contract-to-permanent hire position offers the opportunity to lead and design enterprise-level IT infrastructure solutions while ensuring optimal performance, security, and scalability. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Windows Server, Azure cloud platforms, virtualization, and endpoint management, coupled with a proven ability to lead technical teams. Responsibilities: u2022 Design and implement secure, high-performance IT infrastructure solutions based on Windows and Azure technologies. u2022 Manage Windows Server environments, leveraging Group Policy and Active Directory to ensure optimal functionality and security. u2022 Architect and oversee Azure cloud solutions, including IaaS, PaaS, and hybrid deployments, ensuring seamless integration with on-premises systems. u2022 Develop and maintain virtualization environments using VMware and ensure reliable backup and recovery processes with Veeam. u2022 Administer Microsoft 365 and Intune for effective device management, security, and organizational compliance. u2022 Lead and mentor a team of systems engineers, driving project success and fostering collaboration. u2022 Establish and enforce security policies to meet compliance standards and protect organizational assets. u2022 Provide advanced troubleshooting for complex infrastructure issues while optimizing systems for performance and cost efficiency. u2022 Document technical procedures and solutions, offering training to team members and stakeholders. Requirements u2022 At least 7 years of experience in Windows server engineering and a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role. u2022 Advanced knowledge of Windows Server administration, including Group Policy and Active Directory. u2022 Expertise in Azure cloud services such as Azure AD, Virtual Machines, and networking. u2022 Extensive experience with VMware virtualization technologies and Veeam Backup & Replication. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange, Teams, and SharePoint. u2022 Hands-on experience managing endpoint security and compliance using Microsoft Intune. u2022 Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage complex projects effectively. u2022 Preferred certifications include Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or VMware-related qualifications.
