CNC Operator

Nesco Resource is hiring for our client in Elmira NY. This Elmira-based manufacturer produces metal parts for well-known clients in the transportation industry. We're hiring a 2nd Shift CNC Machine Operator Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM Pay: $17-$19.50 Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC and conventional machines for metal part production Set up machinery and verify part dimensions for accuracy Inspect first-run pieces for compliance with specs Use hand tools to finish parts and maintain clean workstations Track and count parts accurately Select and measure materials prior to machining Perform routine maintenance on equipment Follow all safety rules and PPE requirements Carry out other duties as directed by management Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or vocational training in Precision Machining CNC certificate At least 1 year of CNC machine operation experience or equivalent Steel toe boots required Relevant experience may substitute for formal education Skills: Proficiency in micrometers, calipers, gauges, and SPC data collection Knowledge of blueprints and CNC 'G & 'M code programming Strong hand/eye coordination and attention to detail Familiarity with OSHA and EPA regulations Good analytical and time management skills For immediate consideration, apply on line or call 607-737-4010 Nesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
