This is not a traditional sales job — it’s a technical leadership role where your engineering knowledge is the foundation for building relationships, solving problems, and growing key national accounts. Most of our top National Account Managers began their careers as engineers, not salespeople.Serveasthetechnicalliaisonandsubjectmatterexpert(SME)forShermco’snationalFB&Aaccounts.Buildandmaintainstrongrelationshipswithclientengineeringandmaintenanceleaders.Leadtechnicalpresentations,proposals,anddiscussionstodemonstrateShermco’svalueandexpertise.Supportregionalsalesandserviceteamswithtechnicalguidanceandprojectalignment.DevelopandexecuteaccountplanswithmeasurablemetricsandKPIs.Identifynewserviceopportunitiesanddrivecontinuousimprovementforclientoperations.Monitorindustrytrends,competitiveinsights,andemergingtechnologiestosupportstrategicgrowth.Reportaccountperformance,opportunities,andchallengestoseniormanagement.RequiredSkillsandQualificationsBachelor’sdegreeinElectricalEngineeringExperienceinelectricalpowerdistribution(withintheFood,Beverage,Agriculture,orIndustrialsectorpreferredbutnotrequired)Stronginterpersonalandcommunicationskills—comfortableengagingbothtechnicallyandstrategically.Demonstratedabilitytosolveproblems,thinkanalytically,andleaddiscussionswithclientsandteams.Interestandcapacitytolearnaccountmanagementandbusinessdevelopment(salesexperiencenotrequired).Confident,proactive,andadaptablewithaclient-focusedmindset.Abilitytotravelupto50%andworkindependentlyinanationalrole.#LI-TB1EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER | DRUG-FREE WORKPLACEShermco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
