Founded in 1964, BRPH is consistently ranked among the nation’s top firms and has completed a wide range of projects across the United States and throughout the world.The Jr. Electrical Engineer provides integral support to the department's core production group on a variety of complex and challenging projects, while being professionally mentored by senior level engineers and provided with continuous hands-on training to ensure a successful career path.Prepare load calculations, specify, and coordinate layouts of electrical equipment, and perform power, lighting, lighting controls, grounding, lightning protection, communications, and fire alarm system design, and produce construction documents using REVIT or AutoCAD under the direction and supervision of senior engineersPerform basic electrical calculations such as: short circuit and voltage dropPerform photometry calculations for normal and emergency lighting using lighting calculation softwareParticipate in inter-discipline project coordinationVisit construction sites to review, monitor, and report construction progressFollow the department's quality control vision through performing designer checks on construction documentsParticipate in the department training plan and the firm's mentorship programA minimum of bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited four-year college or university0-4 years of experience in Architecture and Engineering fieldA positive and professional attitude that is centered on personal development to take advantage of all the career advancement opportunities within the departmentUS Citizenship (For Lynwood Office Only)Having the following is a great plus:Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building and energy conservation codesBasic knowledge of REVIT, AutoCAD, AGi32, Microsoft Visual, Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft OneNotePassed the FE exam and is a current Engineer in Training (E.I.T.), or is in active preparation to take the FE examPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
