Accounting Manager (contract)

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team on a contract basis in Coppell, Texas. In this role, you will oversee the monthly financial close process and prepare financial statements for several hotel properties. This position requires excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with senior leadership, operations teams, and on-site managers. This is a 6 month contract assignment. 100% ONSITE 5 days a week in Coppell, Texas 75019 Interim Accounting Manager (contract position): Responsibilities: u2022 Oversee the preparation of journal entries, bank reconciliations, and monthly balance sheet account reconciliations. u2022 Investigate and resolve discrepancies between daily property management system reports and bank deposits. u2022 Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial statements by thoroughly reviewing all monthly closing activities. u2022 Prepare and distribute comprehensive financial reporting packages for each hotel property in a timely manner. u2022 Collaborate with operations leadership to analyze and discuss financial results. u2022 Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, including filing for occupancy, sales/use, and property taxes. u2022 Reconcile intercompany balances across multiple entities and management companies. u2022 Assist with annual audits by preparing required schedules and providing necessary documentation. u2022 Contribute to special projects and support other real estate, fund, or investment-related activities as needed. Requirements u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience in hotel accounting. u2022 At least 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hotel or commercial real estate industry. u2022 Proficiency in month-end close processes, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and journal entries. u2022 Experience managing multiple entities and working with accounting software such as Sage Intacct. u2022 Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create complex formulas and analyze data. u2022 Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. u2022 Excellent written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with various stakeholders. u2022 A strong work ethic and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
