The incumbent will be working in varying temperatures of high heat in the summer and cold in the winter preforming the following tasks: u2022 Installs, maintains, repairs, overhauls, troubleshoots, modifies, constructs and tests various types of electrical, electronic, and mechanical equipment and related devices. u2022 Applies technical knowledge of electronics principles to put equipment in operational condition and solve complex problems. u2022 Troubleshoots and corrects malfunctions using specialized test and diagnostic equipment. u2022 Modifies circuitry to improve performance. u2022 Makes recommendations for improvements or modifications to correct problems. u2022 Provides operation and maintenance instruction to customer personnel. u2022 Prepares operating and malfunction reports and related documentation. u2022 Assists engineering staff in determining and solving equipment design problems. u2022 May perform quality assurance testing of assemblies and equipment fabricated by other technicians. u2022 May provide work leadership to less-experienced technicians. u2022 Participates in special projects, as required. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
