If who we are and what we do resonates with you, we invite you to join our high-performance team!Assists chemists and chemical engineers conducting chemical and physical laboratory tests using instrumental techniques in making qualitative and quantitative analyses of solids, liquids and gaseous materials related to product development or quality control of production processes or products | Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses in organic, inorganic, physical, analytical chemistry, photochemistry or electrochemistry to determine the chemical and physical properties of materials, liquids and gasesGeneral ProfileAcquires basic skills to perform routine tasksDevelops understanding in an analytical or scientific method or operational processWorks with close supervisionPerforms manual tasks according to established proceduresDetermines the physical and chemical properties of compounds and materials using quantitative and qualitative chemical analysis.Performs a variety of chemical tests using instrumental methods and standard test equipment.Prepares materials for laboratory examination and conducts quality, safety, and compliance assessments.Follows established SOPs.Sets up and maintains lab equipment.Records and tabulates data and documents observations and results.Required education and experience: Attending a Vocational / Technical School or internal training program OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education & Experience or Skillset; No prior experience neededPreferred education and experience: Vocational/Technical Training DegreeDiscipline/Major: Technical training preferredKnowledge, skills & abilities: Analytical chemistry. Calibration. Laboratory equipment operation. Precision measurement. Sample collection. Record keeping. Laboratory equipment maintenance. Scientific testing. Test monitoring. Standard operating procedure.Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.This position is Safety-Sensitive.No or very little travel likely.The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
