Manages material handling automation equipment and projects for implementation in the Innovation Center involving a wide variety of equipment, machines, software, controls, and technologies.1) Maintains equipment in the Innovation Center (Bolingbrook, IL)2) Facilitates and conducts tours of Innovation Center3) Facilitates and conducts customer product tests on equipment in Innovation Center4) Provides technical and operational information on systems in the Innovation Center5) Executes material handling equipment projects involving structures, conveyors, machinery, and controls. 6) Collaborates with an execution and development team to implement industry leading automated systems. 7) Delivers subsystems on time, on budget, and tested to machine rate and reliability requirements 8) Manages project resources9) Keeps complete records of every project including a change log, action items, punch list, issues and risk monitoring log10) Follows Daifuku standards for documentation and software development11) Provides verbal and written updates to projects, including in-scope deliverables, project issues, and risks12) Ensures the Innocation Center is always presentable for tours13) Travels up to 20% to assist at various jobsites within North America 14) Other duties as assigned1) Associate degree or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering (Technology), Electrical Engineering (Technology), Mechatronics, or related experience.2) Minimum 2 years in a mechatronics technician role, preferably in conveyor systems or material handling systems.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities1) Knowledge of material handling, warehouse management systems (WMS), fulfillment or distribution center operations, and supply chain logistics2) Knowledge of automation projects involving machines, robotics, controls, and software3) Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC)4) Knowledge of business accounting and contracts5) Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project skills6) Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment7) Leadership skills8) Self-motivated and detail-oriented9) Excellent verbal and written communication skills and listening skills10) Strong organization and collaborative skills11) Must be able to speak, read and understand the English languageBenefit Information:Many great benefits to include Health/Vision/Dental/401k with matchFSA/HSAEmployee Assistance ProgramEOE Minorities/Women/Disabled/VeteransFederal ContractorIf you need assistance applying to an open position online, please email $70,000.00USD $80,000.00
