Location: Beecher, ILJob: Foam Technician - PUR Shooter IShift: 1st shift - 6:00 am - 2:45 pm Monday- Thursday *Overtime may be required on Fridays when needed. We're extremely proud of our portfolio of brands, our achievements in sustainability and industrialization and the groundbreaking work accomplished by our people.While reporting to the Supervisor you will be responsible for injecting insulating foam into a variety of products primarily but not limited to the following: polyethylene and fiberglass containers, cryogenic freezers, and CO2 storage tanks.What You'll Be Doing:Follow the company procedures and the manufacturer’s recommendations for operation of the equipment.Make recommendations for procedural changes as necessary.Recognize specific product defects, voids, or flaws and their probable cause. Determine if raw materials meet specifications through periodic quality checks.Monitor the foaming system and the associated equipment, especially foam room temperature control, nitrogen pressure, and tank fill percentage. Immediately report to the supervisors any actual or potential problems.Maintain all tools and equipment in optimum working condition.Keep all jigs and fixtures clean, waxed and properly adjusted. Report any needed repairs to the supervisor immediately. When a job is completed, thoroughly clean all fixtures before warehousing.Make efficient use of shop supplies and materials, especially when conducting equipment ratio checks.Maintain good housekeeping practices in the work area.Continually practice safe operation and handling of all equipment, raw materials and products throughout the entire plant.
