Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Liverpool, New York. In this position, you will play a critical role in managing invoice processing, reconciling accounts, and ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time. Responsibilities: u2022 Process and verify vendor invoices and expense reports with precision and accuracy. u2022 Reconcile vendor statements to identify and resolve discrepancies promptly. u2022 Coordinate with internal teams to secure approvals for invoices and expense reports. u2022 Address vendor inquiries and resolve payment-related issues efficiently. u2022 Collaborate with procurement to enhance purchasing processes and maintain strong vendor relationships. u2022 Identify and implement improvements to accounts payable workflows and practices. u2022 Stay informed about accounting standards and regulations impacting accounts payable. u2022 Support the finance team with additional tasks as needed to ensure smooth operations. Requirements u2022 Associate's degree in accounting, business, or a related field is preferred. u2022 Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting or accounts payable role. u2022 Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. u2022 Familiarity with accounting systems, with preference given to candidates experienced in Microsoft Great Plains. u2022 Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable functions, including invoice processing and coding. u2022 Ability to perform check runs and ensure accurate payment processing. u2022 Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. u2022 Excellent communication abilities to work effectively with vendors and internal teams.
