Bookkeeper

Description Expanding NYC real estate firm is currently seeking a Bookkeeper to manage financial transactions and ensure accurate record-keeping. This role involves handling accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and preparing month-end financial reports. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, with proficiency in software tools such as QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: u2022 Maintain accurate financial records by managing accounts payable and receivable processes. u2022 Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial statements. u2022 Prepare monthly financial reports, including expense tracking and variance analysis. u2022 Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees. u2022 Manage data entry tasks to keep financial records current and organized. u2022 Handle month-end close procedures and ensure all transactions are properly accounted for. u2022 Utilize QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. u2022 Assist with financial audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors. u2022 Monitor compliance with financial regulations and standards. u2022 Support property management teams with bookkeeping tasks related to commercial and residential properties. Requirements u2022 3+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting. u2022 Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel is required. u2022 Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations. u2022 Experience with month-end close procedures and payroll processing. u2022 Ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports. u2022 Familiarity with commercial property management bookkeeping is a plus.
