Nestled near the beaches between the Pacific Coast and Santa Ynez mountains, Devereux California is a therapeutic behavioral health treatment facility offering residential services, community living, day programs, and clinical services for adults with multiple diagnoses, including autistic spectrum disorders, emotional and/or behavioral differences, intellectual and developmental disabilities, dementia and other cognitive disorders. Our beautiful Goleta campus overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and has been treating adults with co-occurring diagnoses in California since 1945.We are looking to fill two seperate Assistant Supervisor roles, one role in the Weisman program and one role in the ADP (Adult Day Program role).Weisman Assistant Manager: This position is responsible for assisting the Program Manager with overseeing the efficient operation of our Weisman program. Weisman Center is a residential care facility for the elderly that serves both men and women, age 59 and older. The capacity of this warm, caring home is 15 people. The goal of Weisman is to maintain an excellent quality of life for an aging population. Maintaining skills, functioning and good health are all promoted.Pay: $24-$25/hour DOESchedule: May vary, but looking for candidates that are primarily available in the afternoons/evenings (3pm-11pm). Minimum of one weekend day required.ADP Assistant Supervisor: This position is responsible for assisting the Program Manager with overseeing the efficient operation of our Adult Day Program. The Adult Day Program allows adults to participate in activities, such as music lessons, volunteer work, computer skills development, cooking classes and daily trips to community events. The Adult Day Program is available to all individuals enrolled in Devereux California's services, as well as interested adults in the surrounding communities. Our program runs Monday-Friday 9am-3pm. Each participant has an individualized schedule and objectives based on ongoing assessments of their needs and skill level. The overall goal of our program is to help individuals develop the skills needed to maximize independence, foster social and emotional growth, and enhance their overall quality of life.Pay: $23-$24 DOETypical schedule 8am-4pm/8:30am-4pm Monday-Friday.Responsibilities include:Provide direct care support to individuals servedProvide guidance and support to staffManagement of petty cash fundsStaff scheduling and allocation per established staff/individual served ratios within programsMaintains, collects (from assigned staff) and enters all PSR compliance dataOversees accurate and timely collection of individual served data by Direct Care Staff per individual goals and objectivesEnters data into electronic health systemPlan and create activities for individuals servedCreates mileu support, schedules, and other materialsMust have the ability to work with individuals with moderate to severe challenging behaviorsOther duties as assigned by Program Administrator#sponsoredMust have a valid license and clean driving record.Must be able to complete a two week new hire orientation training; hours are approximately 8:45 a.m. to 5 p.m. each dayMust be able to clear a background check and livescan fingerprint screenHigh School Diploma/GED required.Bachelor’s degree in human services field preferred.1 year of experience providing direct care to individuals with developmental disabilities required, may consider one year of experience in related field for ADP.2 years of experience and prior supervisory/lead staff experience in developmental services highly preferred.Must obtain Direct Support Professional Year 1 Certification within 1 year of employmentMust obtain Direct Support Professional Year 2 Certification within 2 years of employment.Must obtain Administrator certification through the State of California, Community Care Licensing Division upon hire. Adult Residential Administrator (ARF) or Residential Care Facility for the Elderly RCFE Certification as required per program regulation.Proficiency using Word & Excel.Devereux has a zero-tolerance policy for abuse and maintains policies and procedures to systematically reduce the risk of abuse to occur in our organization.
