Hospice of North AlabamaOffice Location: Florence, ALSchedule: Monday thru Friday, 8am - 5pm Hospice of North Alabama is looking for a compassionate and detail-oriented Hospice Clinical Specialist in Florence, AL to support the delivery of high-quality hospice care through expert clinical oversight, documentation management, and workflow coordination. This vital role ensures patients receive timely, compliant, and well-coordinated care by managing clinical processes from start of care through discharge.The ideal candidate is a skilled clinician who excels in documentation, regulatory compliance, interdisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care planning. Medical, Dental, Vision insurance Health Savings & Flexible Spending Accounts (up to $5,000 for childcare) Tuition discounts & reimbursement 401(k) with company match Generous PTO Mileage reimbursement Access to wellness and discount programs such as Noom, SkinIO (Virtual Skin Cancer Screening), childcare, gym memberships, pet insurance, travel and entertainment discounts and more! *Benefits may vary by employment status As a Hospice Clinical Specialist, You will: Provide clinical oversight for nursing management, documentation, and patient care planningProcess workflow following the completion of Start of Care visits to ensure continuity of careParticipate in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings to coordinate and review patient care plansReview and adjust visit schedules for Start of Care (SOC) and recertification visits as neededMaintain and manage clinical orders within the HCHB (Homecare Homebase) systemAssist in managing admissions, discharges, and deaths with proper documentationEnsure timely and compliant documentation per agency policies and regulatory requirementsSupport data collection efforts for compliance monitoring and quality assurance initiativesCommunicate effectively with referral sources to facilitate smooth patient transitions into careContribute to staff development and nursing policy implementation as assignedAssociate degree in Nursing with current licenseThree years practice as a Registered NursePrevious Hospice experience preferredCurrent Nursing LicenseKnowledge of the Hospice Philosophy of CareAbility to use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other software programsAt Hospice of North Alabama, our primary ambition is to bring first-class care to the warmest and most serene environment possible: home.
