While you may not interact with patients directly, your efforts will leave a positive, lasting impression - from the moment they enter the facility to the time they return home.A caregiver in this position worksdays from 6:30AM—3:00PM, with on-call availability.A caregiver who excels in this role will:Provide routine and as needed clinical engineering services (repair, maintenance, relocation, installation, etc.) for equipment.Maintain documentation of equipment, inventory, service and repairs.Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:High School Diploma or GED and two years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining medical equipment or equipment in a mechanical or electrical technician field OR Associate’s Degree in Biomechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Information Technology OR equivalent specialized or military training.Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Certified Clinical Engineer (CCE) or Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET)Associate’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering TechnologyOur caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Click the link and see how we’re dedicated to providing what matters most to you: Physical Requirements: Ability to climb 8-foot ladders and work on overhead equipment.Ability to work in prone positions and in confined, darkened areas.Sufficient manual dexterity to use hand and power tools and work on small mechanical parts.Visual acuity sufficient to distinguish between colors used for wire color coding and read finely printed blueprints and schematics.Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periodsAbility to operate a computer and other office equipmentAbility to communicate and exchange accurate informationAbility to travel throughout the hospital systemAbility to move up to 50 poundsPersonal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Pay RangeMinimum hourly: $22.85Maximum hourly: $34.85The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires. A successful candidate’s actual compensation will be determined after taking factors into consideration such as the candidate’s work history, experience, skill set and education. The pay range displayed does not include any applicable pay practices (e.g., shift differentials, overtime, etc.).
