Trusted is seeking an experienced nurse for this exciting travel nursing assignment. Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM Experience: • 12 months of role experience is required with some in the last 12 months. • Must have at least 22 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience. • Travel experience is preferred from any number of months. • Experience with Epic is required from any number of months. Requirements: • Candidates must have a Ohio license or compact license (required after submission). • This role will require floating to multiple units • Local & travel allowed. Candidates living • Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted. • 6 months between Any Contract Type at Program: Aya Program - Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center Pre-employment modules may be required for this role. Additional Details: Previous Employment Requirements: Former employees are eligible for a travel assignment once they have been away from the facility for 6 months or more, Current employees are ineligible to be hired as a traveler at any Ohio State University hospital location Required Skills/Experience: Telemetry Interpretation, Telemetry monitoring, IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Starting and maintaining IVs; Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias; Professional Knowledge and Skills: Isolation Precautions Preferred Skills/Experience: Oncology experience preferred but not required, IV therapy/Phlebotomy: Accessing Ports; Oncology: Chemotherapy Administration; Respiratory: Tracheostomy care/management; Additional Skills: Administration of Chemotherapy, Nocturnal CPAP/BiP Required Credentials: Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program. References must cover at least 1 full year of relevant experience in specialty within the past 3 years. Preferred Credentials: Procedures/Diagnostics/Treatments Performed on Unit: 17 James cares for ALL solid tumor cancers throughout the spectrum of their cancer journey; from new diagnosis, through treatment, and also assisting with transition to end of life care., Heavy focus on infection prevention protocols and patient falls, Cares for patients that have true med surg issues Types of Patients on Unit: Adults, Geriatrics, The most common diagnoses include all subtypes of the following: Breast Cancer, Lung Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Colon Cancer, Esophageal Cancer, Encounter for antineoplastic chemotherapy Equipment Used on Unit: B450 monitors GE telemetry system, Bladder Scanner, Alaris pumps, Stryker beds Technology Used on Unit: Unit/Facility Details: Special Requests: No set/blocked scheduling as that is not something we offer our permanent staff Shift & Scheduling: (D/N option available) Weekends - variable based on unit needs, Number of Weekend Shifts Per Contract: variable based on unit needs Floating Requirements: Floating required to other MedSurg Oncology units Details: • AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW: This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined. 14 days maximum time off.
