Research Associate u2013 Biologics & Protein Production Onsite u2013 Emeryville, CA Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is seeking a Research Associate to join a dynamic and innovative biologics research team in Emeryville, CA . This position plays a key role in the production and purification of antibodies and therapeutic proteins supporting next-generation bioconjugation and drug development technologies. This is a hands-on, onsite laboratory role offering exposure to cutting-edge bioconjugation methods and cross-functional collaboration within a talented scientific team. Schedule : Mondayu2013Friday, 8:00 AMu20135:00 PM Assignmen t Type: 6-month contract with potential to convert to permanent Location : Emeryville, CA 94608 Pay Rate: $45 - $48 (based on experience) Key Responsibilities u2022 Support protein production through small- and large-scale transient transfection. u2022 Perform cloning (e.g., Gibson assembly), DNA prep (Mini, Maxi, Giga), and sequence confirmation. u2022 Conduct mammalian cell culture work using aseptic techniques. u2022 Operate and maintain instruments such as Vi-CELL, Octet, and HPLC. u2022 Perform protein characterization (concentration, endotoxin, SDS-PAGE, SEC-HPLC). u2022 Assist with antibody and protein purification, including the use of AKTA systems. u2022 Maintain detailed and accurate lab records while adhering to quality and compliance standards. Required Qualifications u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline. u2022 1+ year of relevant research lab experience (academic or industry). u2022 Hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture and aseptic techniques. u2022 Familiarity with protein purification and analytical methods (HPLC, SDS-PAGE, SEC). u2022 Proficiency using lab software and analytical equipment. u2022 Strong attention to detail, excellent organization, and communication skills. Preferred Experience u2022 Knowledge of AKTA chromatography systems and bioconjugation workflows. u2022 Experience with antibody production or therapeutic protein development. u2022 Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced research environment.
