These tasks are frequently performed by teams of two or more stage builders that utilize various pneumatic and electric tools, forklifts, aerial lifts, telehandlers and overhead cranes.Must qualify to wear fall protection while working at heights greater than five feetMustbe able to lift and handle steel scaffolding, various types of lumber including planks and plywoodMustpossess basic math skills and perform layouts with measuring toolsMust qualify to operate forklifts, overhead cranes and aerial liftsMust be able to work in a collaborative team environment and or work independentlyMust be able to follow directions from supervision and meet daily goalsThis position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI.Required:High school diploma or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experienceValid drivers licenseExperience in at least one of the following;Carpentry and/or stage building and/or constructionAbility to work in restricted/confined spaces, extreme temperatures and high elevationsAbility to climb ladders and scaffoldingAbility to push and pull as part of the daily routineAbility to read/follow scaffolding drawings and company policies/proceduresAvailable to work all shifts, including extended hours and weekends as business needs dictateAbility to complete the QP safety harness training and wear a QP provided safety harnessIndividuals are required to possess their own basic hand toolsPreferred:3 plus years' carpentry or stage building experienceExperience operating forklifts, overhead cranes and aerial liftsExperience with fall protectionScaffolding experience and familiarity with Universal ScaffoldingExperience working in the construction industry, a manufacturing environment or related trade trainingVocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programsMilitary/Navy related experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsClimbing, Color Vision, Crawling, Kneeling, Light Lifting, Medium Lifting, Pulling, Pushing, Reaching, Stooping, TwistingAcids or Alkalis, Cold, Dry, Dusty, Fumes, Hot, Inside, Noise, Oily, Outside, Wet
