The Engineer II position is the intermediate level of the Engineering classification hierarchy. Employees in the Engineer II position solve complex problems in engineering areas of specialization (Design, Electrical, Material, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering) with general supervision. An Engineer II is expected to develop advanced skills, and the ability to work with greater independence. An Engineer II effectively applies fundamental concepts and procedures to work that is fairly complex and varied.Collect information from clients, prepare project scopes and plans and deliver cost estimatesConduct studies and generate observations and data as required by project planDevelop draft reports and work with Technical Experts as needed to finalize for client deliveryDeliver exceptional professional customer service with various industrial companies, internal and external stakeholders, etc. Other work duties as assigned.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: Strong technical knowledge in applicable field (Design, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering)Analytical/investigation skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, high energy, customer-focused and a positive, success-oriented attitudeEDUCATION: 3 - 9 years of experience (Design, Materials, Mechanical, Electrical, or Structural Engineering)Bachelors or Masters degree Competitive SalaryMedical, dental, and supplemental insurance401K PlanPaid HolidaysPaid Time OffOffice environment with limited physical effort, continuous mental effort, and frequent complex requests for assistance in and out of a lab environment.Travel may be required.PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS & DEMANDS: Endurance such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, or driving, and frequency/duration in which action is required.
