Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) is looking to hire an experienced Proposal Coordinator to manage proposal production for an assigned group of regional offices located primarily in the Southeastern U.S. This position will be based in one of CEC's offices. You will coordinate and prepare responses to private and public sector Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Qualifications (RFQ) in pursuit of specific opportunities. Working directly with Project Managers and Principals, you will develop content and utilize your creative skills to prepare layouts, ideally tapping your experience with Adobe InDesign. You’ll report to the regional Marketing Manager in the department’s Business Development & Proposal Group and work on a talented team of Proposal Coordinators serving other offices.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESLeads activities involved with gathering and formatting content associated with proposal developmentReviews RFP; develops proposal schedule; creates outline, organization chart and other diagrams as needed; participates in meetings; and facilitates communication among the proposal teamEnsures continuity and compliance with brand standards and RFP requirementsUses creativity to prepare document layouts in a visually appealing mannerProofreads and edits for format, grammar, style, punctuation, and spellingCoordinates the internal and potentially external flow and review of all proposal inputs and outputs with multi-disciplined, multi-office, and multi-firm project teamsPerforms internal personnel and project experience research in support of proposal effortsAssists with updates to resumes and project descriptionsCoordinates final proposal production, reproduction, binding, and shipping/submittal of document(s) when necessary1 - 5 years of proposal-related experience for a professional services, A/E/C industry, design, logistics, or operations and maintenance type firm desiredExperience working at a consulting engineering firm is preferred, and public sector experience is also desired, particularly with SF330 qualifications packages; experience with State Department of Transportation (DOT) proposals will move your resume upBA/BFA/BS in Communications, Marketing, English, or related degrees that demonstrate education in writing and/or graphicsSuperior written and oral communication skillsAbility to process information quickly and accurately, with organizational skills and heightened attention to detailFlexible and open to balancing priorities and managing multiple tasks simultaneously within compressed timeframesSensitivity to deadlines with a willingness to work necessary hours to meet themExperience working with Adobe InDesign requiredExperience with Microsoft Word - styles, tables, and paginationExperience using Adobe AcrobatExperience with MS PowerPointExperience with MS ExcelFamiliarity with Adobe Photoshop, Express, and/or Illustrator preferredWe have experts!
